Chateau de Rully is a 12th Century fortress and has become the symbol for this small town in the Chalonnaise subregion of Burgundy. Of the Premier Crus, only 20% of the grapes are pinot noir (the rest is chardonnay), and 2015 was a truly exemplary vintage! With a beautifully elegant nose of dark red fruit, spice, and a perfume of flowers, the palate has richness and structure with plenty of grip and a long finish. Ideal to pair with poultry (especially in a mushroom sauce), it also goes well with red meats grilled or roasted.
Variety: Pinot Noir
Region: Rully Premier Cru, Burgundy, France
