While layered with brambly earthiness (that always feels nice when the weather gets chilly), this wine is surprising light—especially for one from the south of Portugal. Completely dry, with a touch of French oak, the Aplanta is tasty and juicy and sure to please: The perfect compromise when one of you wants a white and the other wants a red! Drink it on its own, or with grilled meats and/or charcuterie.
