Bordeaux is divided by the Gironde and Dordogne rivers, and on its eastern side, one of the most important districts is St. Emilion. Dominated by Merlot and Cabernet Franc, as most right-bank wines, St. Emilion Grand Cru wines are made with great care from low-yielding vineyards, aged in expensive new French Oak. St. Ange makes wine with a soft and rich mouthfeel and developed red berry fruit, plum, and cinnamon and vanilla spiced aromas. Definitely decant this wine for aeration, and pair it with roasted lamb, spare ribs, and any bird game—such as Thanksgiving turkey.
