Warm as it’s near the coast, yet cooled by the famous Tramontane winds, Corbières is one of the most distinguished areas of the Languedoc. At nearly 2,000 feet, there is an altitude to the vineyards which helps ripen the grapes as well as give them an elegant and graceful texture. Simply gorgeous on the nose with rich, dark red fruit, lovely baking spice, and a bit of oak; the palate begs for food with those ripe flavors giving way to a delightful finish. Perfect with all manner of Bistro-fare…especially a cheddar cheeseburger!
