  • In a culture that prides itself on making wine for food, Dolcetto has long been Italy’s fruity, quaffable wine—no cuisine required!  That’s not to say you can’t enjoy it with your dinner (and you will!) it’s just that with such pretty and spicy fruit, low acid, not much tannin, and lighter in body than say, Barbera, this wine can bring a smile to your face all by itself.  (Though if you were to pair it, try Tajarin—a long, thin Piedmontese pasta delicacy with butter and sage!)
