  • Do you find Valpolicella too light, but Amarone too rich?  Well, here’s a wine that Riccioli d’Oro (that’s ‘Goldilocks’ in Italian) is sure to love!  Valpolicella Ripasso is when the fermented juice for a basic Valpolicella is repassed with the unpressed skins from Amarone.  This refermentation adds tannins and complexity; and creates a smooth, elegant wine with dark red fruits (especially plum) along with some tasty cinnamon.  Enjoy this wine with a porcini mushroom risotto, braised veal or steak, or a deliciously aged Parmigiano-Reggiano. “Mmmm, questo vino è proprio perfetto!"
