Don’t let the uninspired label fool you—this wine is good! With deep, dark red cherries and plumb on the nose, and year in oak (30% new), the PSH has modest tannins, yet a firm, full mouth-feel that gives a fantastic flavor but still doesn’t overwhelm you. Everyone likes a malbec, and the PSH is sure to please everyone—especially when paired with lean grilled meats or a burger. Philip Schell knows what he’s doing when it comes to making wine…but maybe he should pass the packaging off to someone else!
