NOTES: Mt Ventoux is a single slope in the Vaucluse mountain range just east of Gigondas. A region rich in history (archeologists recently discovered wine-making tools dating from 30AD!) it also represents excellent value when looking for Syrah-driven wines from the Rhone Valley. Rich on the nose with fulgent fruit and good earth, the palate is big with succulent spice and fabulous forest floor, but not weighted down by oak. Great for an evening barbecue—especially an English cheddar cheeseburger!
VARIETY: 66% Syrah, 30% Gernache, 4% Cinsault
