Grown in the commune of Verduna (just north of the Barolo region) the Pelaverga grape is a rare, pale red grape of Piedmont making a light, strawberry-accented wine. Terre del Barolo of course is a famous Co-op in the region. A facility where grape growers can combine their crops and create a delicious wine together—at considerable value when compared to an estate bottling of a similar wine. Bright with red raspberry flavors, this wine is easy to enjoy—especially with sliced meats, cheeses, or a beet salad.
